Proposed Project: Club 4100

Mission Statement:
Club 4100, located in the Brooklyn neighborhood of Baltimore, is a historical landmark and Baltimore institution. By bringing together world famous sports figures and the local community, this restaurant/bar has brought a pride of place to the area. Our goal is to preserve a backbone of the community by raising awareness of this historic restaurant and social gathering space.

Project Rationale:
We want to preserve the history of Club 4100 because it holds an important place in Baltimore sports history and has functioned as a community gathering space for over 50 years. We believe an increase in community events will help to reduce crime in the area. Caring about the history of this local business and the larger Brooklyn community can help to renew a sense of place and community in and around Club 4100.

Project Description:
The plan of our project is to draw people to Club 4100. We envision a community event where former Baltimore Colts, as well as other Baltimore sports figures, will make appearances and sign autographs. The event will incorporate the history of Club 4100, local sports, and the Brooklyn community. Our main goal is to celebrate Club 4100 as a community hub and a site of local history. By holding this event, we hope to renew a sense of place in Brooklyn—offering a space to gather, reflect, and make new memories.
